As a child, Tana Hack visited her grandmother’s work: making teeth that were used for dentures. Curious, Tana was hooked, and never looked back.
Tana has a great rapport with her patients and treats them as if they were members of her own family. She firmly believes that compassion and empathy are crucial for a dental hygienist, and accomplishes that by listening, understanding and prioritizing the patient’s needs. Throughout the appointment, she describes each step of the procedure as she performs it. She also holds up a mirror so the patient can understand proper brushing and flossing techniques. She feels that is the best method to educate patients on their dental needs.
Tana is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association and Coastal Senior Dental Care. She is a registered dental hygienist, and is certified in local anesthesia, laser therapy, oral Id (advanced oral cancer screening), CPR & basic life support.
Tana is passionate about helping the elderly and those special needs. In her free time, Tana enjoys being outdoors and gardening, bike riding and paddle boarding.
