Revolutionary All-on-4 dental® implants provide an alternative to traditional dentures that can slip or even fall out at the most inconvenient moments. All-on-4 dentures are permanently secured into place, so you can feel confident even without adhesives. Schedule a consultation today to find out if All-on-4 implants are right for you.
What Makes the All-on-4 Treatment Unique?
Like traditional dentures, All-on-4 dental implants replace teeth that have been lost due to age, decay, or other factors. Unlike traditional dentures, the teeth are permanently fixed to the jawbone. As a result, the teeth look, feel, and function just like natural teeth.
What Can I Expect During the All-on-4 Dentures Process?
After numbing and lightly sedating you, the All-on-4 dentist will surgically implant four titanium posts into each arch. Two posts are situated toward the front of the mouth and two toward the rear of the mouth. A temporary denture is then put in place. Since the posts are made from bone-compatible material, you will heal quite quickly following the procedure. Once the gum and bone around the posts has healed, you return to our office for your permanent dentures. The artificial teeth are customized to replace your natural teeth. Depending on your circumstances, the dentist may be able to have your permanent denture in place in as little as one visit.
What Do I Need to Know About the All-on-4 Before and After Process?
Before undergoing the implant procedure, you should expect a full dental exam to ensure that there are no additional dental issues that need to be addressed before you receive your implants. Recovery following the initial procedure is relatively quick; however, you will need to follow your dentist’s aftercare instructions to prevent infection or other complications. Once the permanent denture is attached, you will need to follow a dental hygiene regimen that includes regular brushing and flossing as well as routine dental visits.
Are All-on-4 Implants Expensive?
In most cases, All-on-4 implants are less expensive than traditional implants. This is because traditional implants typically require 10 implant posts per arch compared to the four used with the All-on-4 system. There is also less need for bone grafting with All-on-4 implants. Our staff can tell you more about your All-on-4 dental implants cost following your initial consultation.
How Does All-on-4 Compare to Traditional Implants?
In addition to being more economical, the less invasive All-on-4 procedure has a much shorter recovery time than traditional implants.
How Does All-on-4 Compare to Traditional Dentures?
While there will always be a place for traditional dentures, they do have considerable drawbacks. They can rub and irritate the gums if they are not adjusted properly. The constant slipping that is so common with dentures can also make it difficult to speak or eat properly. Because they are more stable, All-on-4 implants allow you to speak, smile, and eat with greater confidence. They also help to maintain the shape and structure of the jawline.
